Free US Flag Images

The spirit of this offer of free flag images is that they can be used as you like for the purposes of expressing your patriotism or support for the victims of 9.11.
Typically, people use them iconographically on their website homepages, or to print out as office decor, or even on brochures or other advertising media where the flag image is incidental to the main message, used almost as one might a lapel pin.  If our flag image is "the whole suit", no, you need to purchase the rights.  If you're using it as the "lapel pin" on your "suit" (brochure), then fine.

These images absolutely may NOT be used for any profit-making purpose.
For example, someone doing a commemorative plaque that they will sell and profit from is not allowed to use these images for that purpose.  That is, they may not be used on anything that will be resold or where the flag image is the major visual in an advertising or promotional piece intended to sell products or services.

That said, there have been quite a number of circumstances where we have approved usage on items that will be sold-- if 100% of the revenues accruing therefrom are donated to a bona fide charitable organization.  The two key elements there are that 1. 100% of the revenues go to the charity, and, 2. it must be pre-approved by us if it's an item for resale.

Could we hit you with a five page document of legalese here?
Sure.  But we're not going to.
We trust you to consult your conscience and adhere to the spirit of this offer, and, as you do so, you have our best wishes.
