The way we handle our image category groupings is different from what you'll find almost anywhere else, and
understanding how to use it effectively can be a real time-saver for you. Unlike most other sites where you
can search EITHER by category OR by keyword, with Comstock Images you can do both, and switch back and forth
between the two methods with agility and ease.
Four ways and times to access category search
1. From our homepage:
On the bottom-left quadrant of the page simply click on your "launch" category.
From there you will be presented with a clickable taxonomy of our entire category structure. Click arrows to
reveal sub-categories.
2. From a thumbnails page resulting from a keyword search:
You've entered a keyword and now you see a page of thumbnails associated with that keyword. At the top of that
page you will see a link for "refine by category". Click this link and browse the categories related to that
keyword.
3. From the "comping" view of any image:
No matter how you've arrived at a page of thumbnail images, you can always click on any thumbnail to bring
up the larger "comping" version of that image. This version contains all the keywords and categories associated
with that image. Click on any category to see the other images in that category.
4. Via "Image Path" - a visual walk-through of categories:
Find the Image Path by clicking the "Brainstorming" link on the home page.
