ROYALTY-FREE: WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

Images in our royalty-free collection are available for purchase as single images, with the price based on the file size you choose, and some are also available disc collections (searchable in our online disc store) containing 40-104 high-resolution images on each disc. Once purchased, the images may be used as many times as you'd like, as many ways as you'd like*.

Our royalty-free images may also be purchased by subscription.

Royalty-free is fast, efficient and hassle-free.
This contrasts to rights managed images which are rented for a specific, one-time use at a price that is determined by the scope of that particular usage.

A couple of caveats:
You may not use the images in any way that essentially puts you into the same business we are: the business of selling pictures. There are specific prohibitions in our license against resale of the images. The idea is that we want you to use our photos to help PROMOTE your product or service, not to BECOME your product or service. This can get tricky, so if you have questions please contact us.

You also may not use any photo with a recognizable model in a way that is humiliating, libelous or damaging to the model. This is crucial for you to understand and abide by. Whether you are purchasing commercial images from Comstock Images or any other stock photo agency, it's important that you familiarize yourself with these issues surrounding model releases.
